Clubs & Organizations

What are Clubs & Organizations?

Carver Center has a wide variety of clubs ranging from academic interest, social awareness, to hobbies. Clubs are supported by a teacher advisor and can take place either during wildcat time or after school.

Why Should I Join a Club?

Clubs are a great way to make new friends and explore new ideas. Clubs can provide students opportunities to better their leadership, social, and communication skills all while having fun or learning something new. Clubs are a great resource to put on your scholarship, college, or job applications. It can show colleges that you are dedicated to your community and can help set you apart from other applicants.

How Do I Get Started?

Look at any of the club pages in the navigation above. Inside you will find information about the club and the advisor who is part of it. Speak with the teacher or any of the club officers for more details and how you can be a part of that club.

How Do I Start my Own Club?

  1. Come up with an idea.
  2. Figure out how the club promotes Carver values of creativity, craftsmanship, and/or leadership.
  3. Determine how often and when your club will meet.
  4. Approach a staff member and pitch your idea!
