The Dance program emphasizes rigorous training in ballet and modern techniques. Students develop skills through experiences in aesthetic education, dance composition, Labanotation, repertory, choreography, creative expression, production, performance, criticism, and connections between dance and healthy living.

The Dance program enriches the lives of the young performing artists in the field of dance by providing a supportive learning environment that allows students to capitalize on their talent and passion for dance as an art form.  Rigorous daily training in both ballet and modern technique allows students to further develop their physical capabilities.  Through the study of a variety of dance concepts which are integrated into the ballet technique, modern dance and dance analysis and composition courses - students are able to develop a deeper body of knowledge of dance and all its various components.
